The Dark Knight Rises The Review

Assalamualaikum / Peace be Upon You

Last week, the last movie of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy had been released worldwide. I went and watch the movie. I'm not a DC fan but I do follow Batman's story. I want to make it clear that I hate Nolan version of Batman. Therefore, some of the statements that I'm about to put might be a little biased and extreme prejudice.

The movie starts off 8 years after the last movie (The Dark Knight), where the city of Gotham remembers the sacrifice of Harvey Dent (no one knew that he turned into Two-Face except for Gordon and Batman) and apparently Batman took the blame of the death. Filled with some self-righteous bullcrap and a little bit of political agenda in the scene. Commissioner Gordon were about to reveal the truth about the death of Harvey Dent but chickened out last minute.

Bruce Wayne a.k.a. The Batman had became a hermit and retired as the caped crusader. I mean c'mon, how a wuss can he be? Why can't he just put the blame on the Joker? He had killed thousands of people in The Dark Knight. Anyway... Then enters Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman or Catbuglar who seemingly wants to steal Bruce's late mother's necklace but apparently want to take Bruce's fingerprint.

After a few scene, Bane came in to Gotham City to fulfilled what Ra's al Ghul's ambitionon creating chaos in Gotham as the member of the League of Shadows (see Batman Begins). Batman goes up against Bane but apparently got his ass whooped (seriously?). And apparently this version of Bane is very cunning and very smart unlike the original version of Bane. Not to mention he is big but no pecs were found on his abdomen side.

Like the previous movies, Batman had to battle crime with his own disease, throat cancer. But wait, he's not alone in this manner of speaking. Bane also suffers from weird voice disease which made me laugh during the film. Not to mention this Batman suffers from weird mouth dis figuration every time he tries to speak.

The movie also introduce a new face, John Blake, a young police officer who had figured out that Bruce Wayne is indeed The Batman (gasp!). Apparently in the movie were placed several of Batman's jokes inside it. Such as Killer Croc joke and turning-around-and-then-vanished joke which were pulled by Catwoman on Batman.

One thing I got to say about the movie is the storyline is somewhat predictable. Even the ending is too predictable. And apparently, there were a Robin inside the movie but with different name rather that the usual names. He ended up being the next Batman at the end of the movie.

I would like to say that this movie is entertaining for me despite some plot-holes that I managed to find. If you are a fan of DC comics and a fan of Batman, you should watch this movie. This movie so far, quite good for a Batman movie. Well.. At least there aren't Bat-nipples in this movie. The only good thing about this movie for me is, you got the chance to look as Anne Hathaway's ass when she rode the BatPod which is nearly the end of the movie.

Salam

P.S.: I would like to express my deepest sympathy towards the victims of the shooting in Aurora, Colorado which occurred during a midnight screening of the film The Dark Knight Rises at a Century movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. A gunman, dressed in protective clothing, set off smoke or gas canisters and shot into the audience with multiple firearms, killing 12 people and injuring 58 others.

I do not know what his intention were, either he was a sadistically maniac that want to recreate some of the Batman's event or a conspirator regarding this matter. Like what was said by Sir Michael Caine who portrayed Alfred; Some men just want to watch the world burn.
