Favorite Female Main Characters (Japanese Animations)

Previously I've revealed my most favorite male main characters from several Japanese Animations. This time I'm going to reveal the female part. Well, apparently all of the animations that were released in 2012 do have several characters that I'm interested on.

10. Moka Akashiya - Inner/Real Moka (Rosario + Vampire)

Moka is a vampire and she had two personalities which are known as "Outer Moka" and "Inner Moka". I like the "Inner Moka". Cold and reserved, "Inner Moka" is deeply aristocratic and arrogant, looking down upon all manner of demons - a completely different entity from "Outer Moka". It is shown that she seems to have a more feminine side when she spent a day with Tsukune, similar to the outer half. She somewhat a soft tsundere type of character. What I like about her is she is strong but do have several feminine moment when with Tsukune. Her weakness?  Moka is afraid of water, the reason being the purifying powers of water have an adverse effect on Vampires, hurting them as well as rendering them unable to properly function.

9. Aoi Kunieda (Beelzebub)

 

Aoi is the third leader of the "strongest ladies of Kantou", the Red Tails.  Her nickname is Queen because she is the protector of all the girls at Ishiyama High from the men's "grubby hands". She is shown with tough personality and prideful warrior but despite that, she has a rather girlish crush on Oga but refuses to admit this fact to others. What I like about her is her spirit in not giving up on anything. She is also a skilled swordswoman and martial artist, and possesses an immense amount of vitality and stamina, as well as impressive speed. Her weakness? Cannot focus anything when it came to Oga.

8. San Seto (Seto no Hanayome)

San is a mermaid and the daughter of the underworld yakuza chief. She is an air-headed girl and sometimes acted all bubbly. She attracted to anything that she considered as manly (like her mother, Ren). She was supposedly to be killed after she had saved a boy who was drowned in the sea, Nagasumi. In order to save her life, she had been betrothed to Nagasumi to keep her mermaid identity a secret. Sometimes she acts all cute and innocent  and sometimes she acts all manly. Her weakness? She can't be near to water because her legs will turned into mermaid tail when it encounters with water.

7. Nina Antalk (Chrome Shelled Regios)

Nina is the third year Zuellni Military Arts student, Nina is the strong willed captain of the 17th platoon. She is Layfon's captain. She is formerly from a rich household from a different city. However, she escaped that city, because she felt like there were other things out in the world that she had to protect. So, she ran away. She supports herself by working odd jobs along with Layfon. She is in love with Layfon but doesn't want to admit it by simply stating that she admires his strength. Her weakness? Apparently she just too stubborn to admit that she has weaknesses.

6. Rias Gremory (High School DxD)

Rias comes from the old noble of pure devils, the house of Gremory, a top-class devil who is called a genius nicknamed "Crimson Ruin Princess". She is kind and soft to her servants, becomes a totally different person when training or fighting. Like her brother, Sirzechs Lucifer who fell in love with his servant, she is also fell in love with her own servant, Hyoudou Issei. She is a strong-willed type of character that will sacrifice anything to protect her servants. Her weakness? Like any other demons, she can't come to contact with holy water or church area.

5. Sofia Valmer (Jormungand)

Sofia Valmer or better known as Valmet, is an ex-mechanized jäger major of the Finnish Rapid Deployment Force who is skilled with knives. She is in love with Koko, but it is unknown whether Koko returns her feelings. Despite the fact that she know that Koko is somewhat more focused to Jonah, she respect Jonah as a soldier even though he is more younger than her. She is tough and will kill people in order to protect Koko. Her weakness? Her entire Finnish-led UN squad was annihilated by Chen Guoming and she herself lost an eye in that attack. Since then Valmet feels uneasy and even frightened whenever she sets foot on African soil.

4. Momoyo Kawakami (Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!)

Momoyo is the oldest member of the Kazama Family, Momoyo is seen as the older sister of the group. She also has a brother-sister type of relationship with Yamato. As such, she'll occasionally pick on him, while also go out of her way to look out for him. Momoyo is considered to be the strongest fighter in the world, second only to her grandfather. She is friends and rivals with Kuki Ageha from KimiAru. Apparently later on in the series, she develop feelings towards Yamato much to the other girls dismay. Her weakness? It is seems if she doesn't get herself a fight, she would go berserk.

3. Hime Onizuka (SKET Dance)

Hime or better known as Himeko is the violent "yankee"-girl with a soft spot for cute things. She is the fighter/ brawn to the Sket-Dan. In her past she was called "Legendary Yankee Onihime" which became a symbol of "power and fear". Himeko seems to now have "calmed down" from her days of being the Onihime and has become the second-chief to the Sket-Dan. She was feared by all until she met Yusuke (Bossun) and apparently fell in love with him. Her weakness? The fact that she was once a delinquent still bothers her and afraid that one day her friends might leave her because of it.

2. Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)

 

Erza is a S-class mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, the strongest still active female, and one of the main female protagonists in Team Natsu. She is is a tall, beautiful girl with long red hair, and brown eyes. She is almost always wearing an armored suit, made by Heart Kreuz. However, thanks to her requip magic, she can wear many magic armors, and can even requip swim suits, and clothes for recreational purposes. Like most Fairy Tail members, she shows great loyalty and dedication to Makarov and the guild. Her weakness? She does have her clumsy moments from time to time.

1. Birdy Cephon Altera (Tetsuwan Birdy Decode)

She is my most favorite female main character. Birdy is an Intergalactic Officer, Birdy has the appearance of a human when, in fact, she is an alien. While she is giving chase to a interplanetary criminal on Earth, she accidentally kills a young boy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. As her punishment, Birdy has to share her body with his, preserving his life. So she has to deal with the boy, whose name is Tsutomu, along with his family while still doing her job. Whether she has feelings towards Tsutomu it is unknown as it was never been explored. Her weakness? She had to juggle between her life a an Intergalactic Officer, a model and not to mention being Tsutomu.
