Cosplay: Now and Then

This time I'm going to talk about a somewhat hobby of mine apparently; Cosplay. What is cosplay you might ask? Cosplay is short for "costume play" and it is a type of performance art in which participants don costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture centered on role play. A broader use of the term "cosplay" applies to any costumed role play in venues apart from the stage, regardless of the cultural context.

What Time Is It? Adventure Time!

After being pestered by some of my friends so frequently in social network websites and forums, I finally watched Adventure Time when was finished watching Robot Chicken up until Season 5 (might going to write a blog entry regarding on that one too). I've watched Adventure Time till Season 4 which is now at Episode 19.

A New Case of Ace Attorney 5 Announced

A few days ago, Capcom has confirmed Ace Attorney 5 is coming to the Nintendo 3DS. The next installment of the courtroom drama was announced earlier this year, but the latest issue of Famitsu has revealed the game's intended platform. The article also revealed that Phoenix Wright will return as this game's main protagonist, alongside a new female partner.

Avengers VS X-Men: My Take

This time I'm going to talk about Marvel's latest big arc which is Avengers VS X-Men. Previously you had seen superheroes being pitted against each other during Civil War and Secret Invasion. Now, Marvel Comics present to you an arc where Avengers will fight against X-Men. 

As you know, X-Men is a group of mutants that were created by Charles Xavier which is you know that they are consisted of mutant superheroes, but Avengers is a group of superheroes that were created by the superheroes themselves which we are unable to determine which one are on the Avengers' side or the X-Men's. But apparently Wolverine is on the Avengers' even though he is one of the X-Men. The readers again being asked which sides are they stand on.

Spider-Man 50th Anniversary

This year, Spider-Man had reached his 50th anniversary. For 50 years the webslinger has spun his web throughout the entire globe. It was inside Marvel Comic Amazing Fantasy #15, which introduced the origin of one of the greatest comic book superheroes of the modern age and perhaps of all time, The Amazing Spider-Man! 

Spider-Man of course, went from that comic appearance in that anthology omnibus to his own comic series to become one of the most successful franchises in pop culture history, spawning countless merchandise and television and film spinoffs, the most current being the summer blockbuster The Amazing Spider-Man, which was in theaters and stars Andrew Garfield as the web slinging hero. 

Friend Zone

Recently, there is this topic that suddenly popped up during recent conversations that I had with several people that I've met. The topic is about getting into the 'Friend Zone'. What is a 'Friend Zone' you might ask? Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it;

In popular culture, the "friend zone" refers to a platonic relationship where one person wishes to enter into a romantic relationship while the other does not. The most typical friend zone situation involves a man that is romantically interested in a woman who does not reciprocate or is unaware of his interest. It is generally considered to be an undesirable situation by the lovelorn person. Once the friend zone is established, it is said to be difficult to move beyond that point in a relationship.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Hideo Kojima once stated during the 2009 Tokyo Game Show; "Solid Snake's storyline has ended with MGS4. But there's still a lot more when it comes to Naked Snake's storyline."  On February 21, 2012, the site that is owned by Kojima Productions was uploaded promoting a new Metal Gear game. Later on August 30, 2012, A promotional mirrored image was released by Metal Gear 25th Anniversary site, in which words written in backwards read: "From "FOX", two phantoms were born." Militaires Sans Frontières logo is on Big Boss's (left) arm and a (flipped) FOX logo is on the top corner of the image. Also a 20 minute demo related to this game was shown during the 25th Anniversary celebration in Tokyo, demonstrating Fox Engine's abilities.
